Become a Perennial Friend!
Monthly supporters have a profound and lasting impact on both our habitat restoration efforts and volunteer engagement capacity. Thank you for becoming a part of our valued and essential ecosystem of donors.
Why Become a
Perennial Friend?
Perennial plants are essential members of all ecosystems. Unlike annual plants that are “one and done” after they flower, perennials persist. Their deep roots hold and enrich the soil, preventing erosion and enhancing the soil’s capacity to store water. Perennials are no fair-weather friends; they stick with us through the seasons and are resilient in the face of drought, flood, and extreme temperatures. They provide valuable sources of food and habitat for pollinators and other wildlife throughout the year.
Similarly, our Perennial Friends are integral members of Grassroots Ecology’s ecosystem of supporters - loyal friends who we can count on to donate each month. By committing to a monthly donation, each Perennial Friend helps to ensure that our community-based restoration programs flourish across the region and through the seasons. Like a native garden needs plants of all sizes, shapes, and qualities to be truly resilient, Grassroots Ecology needs a diversity of Perennial Friends to make our programs resilient within an ever-changing funding climate.
